Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way to turn Fondant into Gum Paste? Seems like I've heard that there is a way.

You can make fondant a little more like gumpaste by mixing in tylose powder but I don't feel that it really turns into gumpaste myself.

This is the way I have been making gumpaste for many years. I really like it. You can look at the flowers and other decorations in my gallery to see the different ways I use this kind of gumpaste.

Can't speak for all fondants, but Satin Ice says you can turn their fondant to gumpaste by adding a teaspoon of gum tragacanth or tylose to 1/4 to 1/2 pound of fondant.
