How do I apply an edible image on a cookie?

After frosting cookie with RI/glace/fondant/rolled BC and icing has dried/set, brush cookie with a very light coat of simple syrup or corn syrup to adhere the EI.

Everyone does it differently. I apply mine before the icing crusts and it sets right into the frosting without adding anything additional.

I lightly spread ri on the cookie with my spatula(very thin) and immedieatly lay the ei on, press lightly with your fingers. Then you can pipe a border on if you want. I have a few in my gallery that I did that way, very quick and easy.
