I love too make tres leches cake but I want to be able to decorate like for a birthday cake...How can I make dry enough to be able to decorate with buttercream but have it still be moist?
Any ideas will help!! Thanks
I recommend bettercream instead of buttercream. I decorate mine all the time you just need to be patient. Pour the liquid in small amounts and wait for the cake to absorb before pouring more. I sometimes have liquid coming out on the base of the cake but I just clean it with a paper towel. You can also use a mold that is disposable so you can have liquid come out of the bottom and not worry about it.
