Cake is for Wed. 11:00 a.m. and I have stuff going on tomorrow that will make it short on time to get it done. I have IMBC on the top and want to add some fondant pieces that are decoration plus a pond of piping gel to put a fondant fish in. Should I wait or can I do it now? I have a round of fondant on top of the icing and will plop the gel on top of that then add the fish--will it get too soft?

I'd be afraid the moisture from the piping gel would melt the fondant.

Yeah, that was my concern, that it would become a foggy mess. . . thank you! I'll hold off.
