I get to make my own bday cake for our work party...yippee. I decided to take this opportunity to try something new. I wanted to use a spice cake mix and use applesauce in the place of the oil. Then have a caramel filling. Does anyone know the ratio of applesauce to cake mix and what else goes in it?

I think you just use the same amount of applesauce as the oil called for on the box.

I just sub the applesauce for the same amount of oil. HTH
