I posted earlier how my frosting seemed to soft on my cake. well, disaster happened. I met up with my customer at a location to deliver the cake and when she got home the cake split apart at the bottom. It wasn't totally level in the car but it was doweled with tape at the bottom of the cake board so it wouldn't slide in the box and I even put her car floor mat rough side up under the box to keep it from sliding. I thought I took all the proper precautions. The one thing she mentioned to me was that the bottom tier seemed wet. I noticed too that the cake seemed too moist. Would you give her money back? I offered to purchase a new cake from a grocery store since the party was today and that I would personally deliver the next cake (next weekend) to get it there safely.
