I cannot find my recipe for Buttercream Icing. My mental closet is overflowing and I can't remember where I put it. The recipe used 1 dry packet of Dream Whip and would give a nice crusting effect. I got the recipe off CC and have looked all morning for it and I'm coming up with everything but the one I want. Anyone know the one I mean?

it sounds like indydebi's recipe..1-1/3 cups crisco.... 1/3-1/2 cup milk... 3 tbs. plwdered dream whip... 2-3 tbs clear van... 2 lbs powder sugar.. mix all except powder sugar.. beat till cream.. then add sugar gradually.. beat until smooth.. at least 10 min. on low-med...can sift the sugar but not necessary.. then there is a recipe for doctored buttercream dream.. that is absolutely delicious.hth

Thank you sooo much for the recipe. This isn't the one I had used, but it really looks good. I just remembered the one I use also has you add boiling water. Since all of you are on the same page I defintely will try this one. Since it is IndyDebi's I'm sure it is fantastic. Thank you all again.

Are you sure it wasn't meringue powder and boiling water?
