I want to do 3 or 4 dummy wedding cakes to add to my portfolio, what do you reccomend i do? I want to try to cover a broad aspect of clients.
Should I do a modern one, another one with drapes, or flowers, Cala lilies???

You can do multiple cakes with the same cake.

Ice and wrap ribbon.....take pic.
Add some scrolls/dots .... take pic.
Add some flowers .... take pic.
Remove flowers and add different flowers ... take pic.

4 pics .. one cake.

Similar to what Debi said, you can divide the cake in 1/2 and decorate one side one way, the other side another way.
If you make a sq cake you can decorate each side (4!) a different way.
