Add a little black to your blue. Just a tiny bit at a time to get the correct shading.

LOL I love Lucille Ball! I watched the marathon last week! Just looked at your cakes. They are amazing!
aaawww thanks..I am trying....
well I think I will try the black tomorrow a.m.
trying to get this navy blue color gave me a headache!!!
how far are you from Cary NC?
Your cakes are awesome too!!
I am near Hickory. (About an hour from Winston Salem).
Let me know how your Navy turns out. I have been coloring gumpaste all night. Doing a Rubiks cube cake for this weekend. (Actually doing 6 cakes for Sat and catering a 2000 guest party), Thank God it is Buffet!
I JUST tried to figure this color out as well. . .you need VIOLET too. . .that is what did the trick. To get the color, I used blue, black and some violet.
Good luck!
It's uber hard to get navy and let's hope you color all you need the first time, because trying to match a second time is near impossible. I learned very early on to purchase Americolor Navy Blue. It solved any issues with "add a little more of this, and a little more of that..." Best of luck!
