When would I apply the fondant circles on my cake? I frosted and it has been crusting for about 20-30 minutes. Would now be a good time? I tried putting some on a cake last night and the circles seemed to slide a bit. Was this because the icing was still too wet? The circles weren't thick at all...

When I apply fondant cutouts to a bc cake, I use a small amount of tylose powder mixed with water to make a thin gel instead of using water or vanilla. I then apply to crusted bc and hold for a few seconds.
