I need to make a really dark green buttercream icing. All I have on hand is Americolor's Forest Green and the other standard colors. Before I mess it all up, would adding a touch of Black help darken it?
The Americolor forest green is pretty dark, IMO...if you add enough, it should be pretty dark...most of the "darker" greens are on the blue side, so if you want it even darker, I'd add a drop of dark blue color.
I am not familiar with that color. Anytime I want a dark green I add cocoa powder, or brown coloring.
