How far in advance can I make a frozen buttercream transfer. I'm making a cake for this following Friday but would like to do the transfer tonight and freeze it. This means I'd be freezing it for 5 days. Would that cause any problems with the transfer?

The Red Power Ranger in my photos was a Frozen buttercream transfer that was done 3 days in advance, and it was fine. I don't know for sure about 5 days, but mine worked out okay. Hope this helps.

It shouldn't cause any problems as long as you don't have any funky odors hanging out in your freezer.

Thanks so much for your help. I guess I'll go ahead and try it. I work full time so it's hard to sqeeze everything in on one day so anything I can do ahead is a help.

I did one 3 days ahead also. Like the PP said, as long as there are no funky odors in your freezer, I don't think it should hurt or affect it any.

Good luck!
