Is it true splenda works just as well in cake as cane sugar? Are the measurements the same?
Does it taste good? I am making another chocolate cake today and was thinking about trying it.

Use a made for Splenda recipe or box mix. The best ones I've had have also contained some sugar.
I think I will stick to sugar! Thanks for clearing that up for me.
I also found that a splenda cake doesn't rise as well. Almost to the "not at all" point.
really, I hate the stuff. It's real easy for me to turn down an order that wants splenda used in it.

I would like to add that I recently found out that I am allergic to Splenda. I know it is not a common allergy, I think it was from over exposure. I just wish products could clearly be labeled as made with splenda... sorry to take this off topic...
