I live in NYC and and was wondering if anyone can recommend a local store where I can buy hi-ratio shortening.
Need to buy very soon and am trying not to spend $ on shipping so not looking at online stores.

This is the place I keep hearing about. I've never been there, and I've heard conflicting reviews. But they should carry it.

I haven't checked in a while but Ny cake on w 22nd street should have it.
Be advised their prices are high so it may cost just as much or more as ordering it online.

Yes, NY Cake has it. It can be hard to find ..... might want to ask them. It was $11.99 for 3 lbs last winter.

Thank you all icon_smile.gif for your suggestion of NY Cake but I wound up finding a store called Pattycakes- http://www.pattycakes.com/contact_info.php3 -that is near where my sister lives and they have it for $9.49 per their web price.
I'll let you know if they have different in-store prices.
