Unless I am mistaken, I am thinking that it's 'poured or pulled sugar'. I have yet to try this....bumping for other's input! icon_smile.gif

That looks to me like cast sugar in a tube, let harden and remove the tube. I have seen it on food challenges and only helped work with ir years ago, but that is my best guess.

Actually, I would imagine that would be a way to do that, but judging by other details on that cake....I doubt someone went to the trouble of making a cast sugar "tube". I would imagine on that cake there, it's just a plastic tube.

It's either that or the actual tube attached to the cake and board

Look at it again! It is just the tube with lights in it. It looks maybe like a light rope and plastic baubble ice.

It looks like it will take hours to get all the plastic off of that cake to be able to cut it! icon_wink.gif

Looks like a plastic tube with lights to me too.

Found the lights at Micheals. They are fiber optic lights that you can cut to your length needed, in the case several lengths to go the length of the tube. I agree, too much plastic for me!
