I am doing box style cakes for a wedding & will be making the box tops using Sugarshack's method for the first time. My question is regarding stacking & dowels. I'm assuming that you put the dowels in the cakes & then place the tops on? I'm concerned about the weight of the tiers, potentially cracking the tops. Is that a valid concern? Anything I need to do to try & prevent that? All info you can give would be GREATLY appreciated!

TIA!

Send sugarshack a pm and ask her. She's very nice and always answers my pm questions.
