How do I make my white fondant shiny like a satin ribbon on a gift box?

Maybe some pearl dusts?

If you want it patent leather shiny, you can steam it.

I've rubbed a small amount of crisco over my fondant to get mine shiny.

Here's some cupcakes i did to get the shiny look:

I've also read mixing equal parts vodka & light corn syrup. This will become dry to the touch but still retain the shine (or so i've read, not tried this version myself).
