THe manufacturer I've been working with is curious if decorators would prefer to buy a pack of 6 same sized boards vs. a single board purchase? They can offer them at a better price in a pack of 6, plus the savings in shipping versus the cost of shipping one at a time is also a consideration.

What do you think?

If ordered by mail only, sure a six pack makes more sense. When i purchase boards from the cake supply store in town though, I like the option of buying single boards.

So I can't really vote because my answer is "it depends.."

These will be via order unless you live in upstate NY.

I would perfer the six pack same size, I think it would be more economical, in price.

Is there a discount if you live upstate NY

I agree it kind of depends........would be nice to have both options.........while there will definintely be times when I'd like to "stock up" on certain sizes........it might also be nice to order all at once for the next 3 tiered cake orders I have and get 2-6",3-8",1-9",1-10",2-12" something like that.........I wouldn't necesarily JUST be ordering only 1 cake board when purchasing them singly.

I like the idea of a six or eight pack of varied sizes, I'd hate to have to order 6 8", 6 10" and 6 12".

Maybe both ways is adventagous- a six pack of one size and a six pack of varied sizes.

They're hoping to be ready within a week to start selling them....I still don't know prices....just supposed to be "very competitive".

Let's see.

1 small 6" board at what, maybe a buck most?

Shipping for one small board, what $5.00 at the least?

No brainer----packs of boards please.

so my question is, is Foam CORE and Foam BOARD the same thing?

Well, I have to say that I buy the cardboards by the 100 (or larger) case. I can't see value in purchasing 1 board and paying shipping on it. Heck I can't see driving to the cake supplies store to buy 1 board.

I like the idea of being able to buy a package of assorted sizes. No way I'm going to buy just 1 board & certain sizes are used more frequently so a variety is the way to go.

I like the pack of 6 boards.
My most popular size is 12" and then 10" so to be able to but those 2 sizes in a 6 pack would be awesome.
And of course I would get a pack of 6" and 8" just to have on hand.
I pay $2.50 per sheet of foam board, I only buy it when it is 1/2 off and I by the thick stuff so I only need one layer.
I can get two 12" and one 8" or three 10" from a single board, so they cost me under a dollar each, including covering them.
Will these prices be able to compare to that because I so would love to never have to cut another board again!
