I want to make a large batch of sugar cookie dough tonight. I was hoping to save myself some work because I'm baking cookies in the morning for my sister. Then, I need to make more cookies on Friday to take to a party. Is four days too long to keep the dough? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I don't think it is a problem, I had mine in my fridge for about four days, and it was fine, I made it for a baby shower, and did not even get to take it, because I made two cakes, and all of the food, I did not get to decorate the cookies, I did bake them though, so my kids and I munched on them until they were all gone and we are fine, no illness.

Thank you for the help, Uniqueask! That will make things a lot easier and save me some time. Wow, sounds like you were incredibly busy getting ready for that shower! I'm impressed with everything you got done!

The only thing I would worry about is the dough drying out. You can keep it in the freezer just fine.

Roll it, cut it and put it in the freezer icon_smile.gif
