Hi,

I am totally new to fondant. I am using Wilton ready to use fondant. Now... I made some leaves with it and they dried up to a cookie consistancy in 15 minutes. I am scared to use the fondant on my cake... I dont want a brittle cover on my cake! How do I store the cake for 2 days and still have a soft fondant by the time my child is ready to cut the cake?

Thanks in advance.

the buttercream underneath the fondant will keep the fondant soft. it won't dry out. Your fine using it and don't worry about it getting brittle, just make sure you put buttercream underneath. good luck and happy baking =)
