I have a cake request (Free Cakes for Kids) and the request is for a Mickey Mantle baseball cake. I searched the galleries and all I came up with were Mickey Mouse baseball cakes.

I don't have an edible image printer or airbrush machine. I need some ideas on how to decorate a cake for this request.

When do you need it?

Depending on how much time, money and energy you want to put into this cake..... You could do a replica of the back of a NY Yankees "jersey" (white with stripes) with his number? He was 7. You could add a 3D cap with the famous interlocking NY.

I have to deliver it next Friday - October 16th.

I am thinking of doing color flow and make a silhouette of a baseball player and put his team number on it. I can make some smaller baseballs and bats with the color flow too.

Since its a free cake I don't want to spend alot of time on it.

I just googled MM. He was HANDSOME! The guy that played him in 61(?) is darn near a ringer!
