Hi, I am making a Pirate Treasure Chest and I have seen a lot of wonderful ones posted up here, but Im not sure about how to make the top, so any tips on how to make the top would be great.

The easiest thing to do is to mold it out of RKT. I covered mine (the RKT and the cake) with chocolate fondant.
