Hi my CC Family,

I have to make some Chocolate dipped strawberries for a cake tomorrow, I bought the morsels both white and semi-sweet chocolate.

I already tried melting it but it was not runny enough and looked really amateur. I tried adding crisco but wasn't much of a big difference.

Can I just make it into a ganache by melting the chocolate in heavy cream?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated or share how you melt your chocolate for strawberries.

Thanks a mill........

Ganache is yummy on strawberries.

Since the chocolate is already melted at this point I'd heat the cream and stir it in. Not sure if that would work, but it should.

Ok. I'll try mixing in the cream. Should I let it cool first or come to room temperature?

Next time try using Ghirardelli chocolate. It melts perfectly for dipping, and there is no need to add oil.

You don't want it really hot but also not cool. You do want it fluid to be able to dip them nicely. I've dipped them in ganache warmed in one of the chocolate melted pots.
