icon_biggrin.gif Hi everyone. My name is Andrea and I'm new to this community. I think this site is very great and full of helpful tips and tutorials.

I found this pic of halloween cake on a website and I want to make a reaper on the top of this cake to put on my Halloween cake. I've never done this before so I have no clue. I hope you would give me some tutorials of this

Thanks a lot and nice to know you all icon_smile.gif

If I were doing it, I'd buy a skull mold...Wilton has one out for Halloween this year and it's only $2. Then make a sort of pyramid-shaped piece out of fondant, but flatten the very top. Let it dry totally which might take several days to a week. Drape a piece of black fondant over it, add two pieces to look like tattered sleeves (like triangles) and then attach the skull to the flattened top with a tiny bit of melted chocolate, the white that you used for the skull, and cut another piece of black fondant to be the hood and just drape it over the skull.

Wilton has a $2 skull mode? That's awesome!

You can also use RKT or an ice cream cone for the body

Hi Andrea, I'm a newbie too, I also really, really, really like this site!

I've never heard of a Wilton reaper mould, if you manage to find one I reckon go with that, probably the easiest way.

Do you have any children? I ask because some boys have skeletons, monsters or scary looking action figures that you could possibly borrow & make up your own mould for the head - I think they have a 'how to make your own mould' pic in the templates gallery.

I hope this helps! The cake looks like loads of fun! thumbs_up.gif
