WOW WOW WOW!! icon_eek.gifRebecca, Sharon and team, I am so sorry you didn't win! DH and I were rooting big time for you and thought you should win! Love LOVE the crystals on the cake, gold gilding and all those beautiful flowers!
Way to go ladies!!!! You are WINNERS in my book! icon_biggrin.gifWhat a challenge this one was!! My favorite one to date!!

I just love Sharon, she is cute and quirky and Ill bet that she could have taken Norm! My heart went out to Rebecca when she was wiping away tears at the end.

You are right, they should have won. I actually didn't care for Norm's cake (no offense Norm) it looked like the separator tiers were pumpkins, even my hubby thought so. The curls were a great idea, I just didnt like those tiers inbetween. Pumpkins...

I bet if they hadnt had to sit out that last time the painting job would have been flawless. I hate the fact that these shows feel like they have to add in drama for entertainment value. Heck just decorate the cake! Thats all the entertainment that we want! Right ladies?!?

I thought all three cakes were wonderful. I thought the girls cake was best. Don't want to ruin the outcome for thoe who have not seen show.

Even my husband is watching it with me right now - because Sharon Zambito is on there. He likes her almost as much as I do! Beautiful cake!

I totally thought the same thing about the separators. That took away from the cake for me. I really liked Rebeccas cake with all the jewels and gold curly things. I didn't really like the other cake, it was just ok.

I really LOVED the girls cake!! and an hour down - COME ON!!! It was FANTASTIC!!

I also agree that Norm and the chocolate curls need to move on. I love the look, but how many shows has he pulled that one out on.

I really loved all 3 cakes and was actually breathless with all 3 sitting there next to each other - amazing work by all!!!

(Sharon stole the show!! hehe!)

You all are so right. I loved all three and really thought Rebecca's should have won! Norm was making me mad by sitting her out-but I love him most of the time. But it also showed how much he feared what they had going on over there. It took the 2 sitouts just for him to win. My hubby and I also thought it looked pumpkinny in the tier seperations. But I guess all that matters is that he won. I did notice that I am only 2 hours away from Savonsburg, KS-right out at Ft. Riley, but I grew up in Junction City my whole life!!! I will have to check Rebecca"s site to see what classes she has and if I can go to them. That would be a DREAM!!!!! She is so great and I am so out of her league. But even just a chance to take one class would be enormous and life changing for me!! I also dream of something with Sharon Z one day, too. Aww, what sugar dreams I have to hold on to! Congrats to all three contestants, truly! I think that they were all totally amazing. I could never do what they do. But I would so love to do like Rebecca said and show them all what Midwest girls are made of!!!!

I loved Rebecca's & Norm's cake, though I did like Rebecca's cake better. The younger guy's cake was nice, but I didn't see vintage wedding, I saw vintage baby shower as well. I thought the lady who decided was a little cracked to say Rebecca's cake was kind of simple looking. -icon_surprised.gif

I thought the same thing when she said Rebecca's cake was kind of simple, if she saw mine she would say
"They still make easy-bake ovens" lol

I didn't think the youngin was snotty, I think he was respectful of the talent he was up against and held his own. Good for him. He will be really something in 20 years, can't even imagine how great he can get.

hey guys!

Fun episode yes?

As you can tell we had a great time. The rivalry with Norm was all in good fun. We got a long great with all the players and left all the best of friends.

Wasn't rebecca's cake stunning? She is an incredible talent; and her skill for design is beyond all. She was a great leader; is a great friend, and I could not be more proud of her.

Let me say one thing: all 3 cakes were stunningly beautiful; all in different ways. The TV IN NO WAY did any of them justice. I wish you could have seen them in person.

Of course I think Bec should have one; hers was the most beautiful and closest to what the client asked for, IMO. But the client liked Norm's best. can't win them all.

Maybe we can get a rematch next season!

Thank you all for the nice comments! Rebecca and my teammates were all incredible!

Norm is a doll and was really broekn up over sitting us out twice, but he knew what he had to do! LOL

Mark is crazy talented and super nice; his whole team was! Go to his website to see some incredible cakes!

Thanks Sharon for the info, I knew Norm had to sit ya'll out to win, you gotta do what you gotta do. I still think ya'll would have won if not for the sit outs, I am glad ya'll are all friends. I enjoyed the show so exciting all the way to the end. I knew where you were from right away we can't get away from our accents can we lol

I think I enjoyed this episode the best of them all so far. The cakes were just gorgeous and it was so exciting seeing Sharon and Rebecca Sutterby (I just saw her at OSSAS yesterday!) and rooting for their team.

Sharon, you guys looked like you were having a blast, despite the clock. All your little comments were so funny. What an honor it must have been to work around all those decorators!!

personally, I think Bec should have won the piping too. But I guess I am not objective.

Not sure if it would have changed the outcome, cuz the client simply liked Norm's cake the best.

Who knows for sure!!

I think this is one of the best challenges I've seen because of the outcome of all 3 cakes. The cakes are all beautiful. I really couldn't decide which I'd pick but I'm leaning towards Rebecca because it speaks my taste. Anyways, congrats Sharon for making it to the show!

SHARON!!!!!! Congrats!!!!! I was able to wake myself up and watch the ending, HOW FUN!!!!! Tell us all about it, was it stressful, I hear it's also really hot under the lights. I'm so happy for you, everyone looked great and the cakes were AMAZING!!!

Michelle Bomaritto was here in VA Beach and I got to assist her during a couple of demos and I am STILL floating!!! She is incredible, talented, sweet and on and on. So I can only imagine how exciting your experience was!!!!!!!

Ok, I need to chime in ..... icon_smile.gifWhere do I begin?
I loved the show. I think personally - all the cakes were gorgeous. I would be overjoyed with anyone of them. Great, great talent.

1. Rebecca's team - you all rocked, actually still does icon_smile.gif
2. Unlike the judges, I think the carasole cake was a great concept, maybe I would have just done it differently to tie in the wedding wow factor. I think it was a very gutsy move, and, I think he handled it well. I would like that pound cake recipe too .... icon_biggrin.gif
3. Team Norm - what can I say? Ok, I think his idea was unique and different. I think what gave him the edge above team Rebecca was that those curls just did something to that cake. Also, the flowers against them were beautigul. Kind of like a layered dress with a flowered waistine. And, he incorporated the groomscake into the design. I think his cake caught my eye as something different.

To summarize it all - I will say this. I really have no favorite and to me anyone could have won. You all should be VERY PROUD of your work- win, draw or loose. They all completed the task, and did an exceptional job. I am so proud to be blessed with people so humble and talented who selflessly give/ share knowledge to people like me.
I love all of you. And, all of you did great.

I thought she should have won the piping too! I was really suprise when they said Norm, cause he didn't have the right lay-out, just the srcoll work. I can't answer for the cake though I would have loved to have tasted Rebecca's & Norman's. I don't care for orange flavor, so I would have passed on the other one.

This was the most exciting one by far and my favorite. Personally, I think if the bride had got to choose, she would have picked Rebecca's cake. I also think Norm needs to get away from the chocolate curls in competition. I think they are pretty, but I have seen him do it more then once.
