I am making a preggo belly cake for a friend in a couple of weeks and I was wondering what the best pans were for this type of cake. She only needs to serve 8-10 people so it doesn't have to be really big. Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!! icon_biggrin.gif

I used the Wilton Sports ball pan for the belly and the mini sports ball pan for the "Boobs"...

I couldn't add as an attachment so you can look in my album! HTH

I took a look at yours and it looks great! I have the sports ball pan so I guess I'll use that. All I need is the mini ball pan. Thanks for the advice!!

Oh, and do you think that will feed 8-10 people?

I used the sports ball pan and mini ball pan to make mine too. I also made some cupcakes to match because it doesn't really make that many servings. I will try to attach my picture. HTH

After looking at the suggested servings for the sports ball and mini ball pans, it would feed 8-10 icon_lol.gif

I just did a baby bump cake this weekend I used the sports ball pan and two cupcakes for the boobs. The store didnt have the mini ball pan but I just added extra icing on the cupcake and then let it crust a bit and then used my hand to round it out to a perfect cup! I think it would fed 8-10.

I've used 2 combinations, for my first one (brown and green way back in my photos) I used 1/2 of the sports ball ban and 2 cupcakes. For my second one (pink and cream, very recently) I used the wonder mold pan and 2 mini wonder molds for the boobs. icon_smile.gif Both worked really well for me! icon_smile.gif

I have never seen the mini ball pan at any of our local stores, I'd love to own it, I guess I'll have to buy it online some day. icon_smile.gif
