My cream cheese icing recipe calls for crushed hickory nuts and I have none! Only was able to get them at the local farmer's market. Does anyone know what I can use in its place?!? Any ideas would be very much appreciated!

Use pecans.

They don't taste the same, but pecans come closer than other nuts.

Oh thank you so much. A friend suggested black walnuts and they tasted terrible! Thank you very much. I am heading out right night to buy some!

Blessings!
