I have always loved to bake. As far back as 1969 when I was an Army Nurse, I baked cakes for my patients in the barracks kitchen and took to the hospital for the guys. Now I am a Nanna and like to make cakes for the kids. I started to try new things like carving and fondant this past year mostly and the year prior just a little, so the past two years I been teaching myself whatever I can pick up from internet and tv shows. They love my cheese cakes apple pie and chocolate chip cookies, and now they just think what will she do next hehehe.

April 2009. Like Rylan, I came across a cake dec video on Youtube when searching for something else. I thought "Ooh, this looks interesting!"

Now all I think about is cake.
