I'm having trouble figuring out a Halloween costume for this year. I have a great witch costume that I typically wear and that I might break out this year for answering the door and handing out candy, but I need another costume for our annual "trunk or treat" event at church (we decorate the open trunks of our cars and the kids go from car to car collecting treats -- I'm handing out decorated sugar cookies instead of candy). I need something that is appropriate for the venue. I can make my own costume, I'm just blanking on ideas, anyone have any good ideas?

I LOVE the way your mind works....and I'm so jealous of your imagination!

i saw the cutest thing in the martha stewart magazine for october. it's a detective costume for you... and your dog! it's just a houndstooth cape with matching hat and a cape for your doggie. the templates and everything are on marthastewart.com. i've been bugging my mother to make this for me and my two rascals!
