I'm really having a hard time with this. She calls it "taupe" but all the taupes that I see have a pink undertone.

I also need to replicate the pattern, any ideas?

Looks like other people are just as stumped as I am.

Taupe is one of those hard to define colors. It looks to me as if it's just a light brown--the fact that it is shiney makes it harder to tell what exact shade it is. I'd start with chocolate brown color (Americolor makes this shade), just a teeny bit and then maybe make it on the cool side with a touch of sky blue? Unfortunatley, you're going to have to play around with it. As for the design, that's a chance to break out your piping skills! If you want to make the design really pop, you could make the little "leaf" shapes out of fondant, but I'd the rest I'd pipe.

Brown with a little bit of black...

If it turns out too warm, you can try adding a tiny speck of purple.

Brown with a little touch of black overlaid with light pink shimmer- dusted or airbrushed , then piped stems in royal icing.
