Hello Everyone, Just thought I would ask the more experienced decorators what would be a respectful price to charge for a Castle cake (using the Wilton Kit) on top of a half sheet cake, I kinda put off baking & decorating to have a stress free pregnancy and I'm starting to take request now, but realized ingredients and supplies have gone up in price so now I'm kind of lost as to what to do! Does anyone charge delivery fee?

I have not made a cake using the Wilton castle kit.

...Goes to the Wilton website to check out this kit...

Okay, so that kit can be used to make a variety of cakes. How big and elaborate of a cake are you planning on making using that kit? Depending on those factors, it could be anywhere from $100 and up for a "castle" cake.

My base price for 12"x18"x4" rectangle cake is $216.

For delivery charges, I go with the current IRS rate (http://www.irs.gov/taxpros/article/0,,id=156624,00.html9) which is 58.5 cents per mile.
