Hello fellow Caker's

I have an order for my husbands work for 72 cupcakes.

They want half chocolate and half vanilla but said that the frosting and filling would be up to me.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what I could fill them with?

No allergies and I want to do something different. Any suggestions?

Thanks for reading icon_smile.gif

classic for chocolate combos:

boston creme
raspberry
strawberry
mocha
hazelnut (nutella!)
chocolate (can you ever get enough?)

more out there for chocolate:
citrus -- orange or lemon
chocolate chili (spicy like mole sauce used in Mexican cooking!)
mint (think thin mint)
banana

more out there for vanilla
melon (cantaloupe, honeydew, musk, etc)
passion fruit
guava
mango
kiwi
boysenberry
pineapple

I recently stumbled upon a black forest stuffed cupcake recipe. It is delicious!! It's a chocolate cupcake baked around a cream cheese cherry filling. Seriously to die for! Here's the link

It's a little bit of extra work, but it's delicious and looks beautiful-cut in half it looks so cool. I posted a pic on my blog-take a look, it's pretty cool!

use food processor to grind any nut into a butter (rarely will you have to add extra oil -- more likely will want to let it sit in a jar and settle so the excess oil rises to the top and can be poured off (save for baking!) -- like what happens with natural peanut butter)

then -- go from there --

can add to BC or could mix in chocolate (what they do to make nutella)
adding corn syrup can sweeten and smooth it out.
