I am a Newbie and am making a baptism cake for my nephew. My twin sister wants marble on the bottom layer and yellow on the top.

Does anybody have any delicious fillings recipes they know are good?

Also, with a 2 tiered cake...would you use dowels?

Thanks, Karen

I would probably use a good choc. ganache in the marble and raspberry or lemon filling in the yellow (recipes in recipe section but for raspberry I use simply fruit jam) JMO. And yes, I would use dowels

I agree, with pianocat the 'Chocolate Ganche 1' recipe on here is good (just search) and really easy to make. For a raspberry filling I usually mix fruit jam with a little edited cream cheese buttercream 'Cream Cheese Buttercream (Crusting)' on here with half of the powdered sugar (it makes it taste like raspberry cheese cake).
