What do you think would be a great filling for a maple cupcake?

aCTUALLY, i THINK THAT MAPLE WOULD MAKE A BETTER FILLING. (sorry, cat was out walking on the keyboard!)

I could totally see a brown sugar pecan cuppie with maple filling.

We love to get maple bar and chocolate bar doughnuts and eat them with both tastes in the mouth at the same time.
Or eat pancakes with mixed syrups; maple and a berry, perhaps. Might work for your cuppies.

I don't know why but when I see Maple I think something with pecans. Something like a pecan nouget. YUM! Sorry i have no recipe just popped into my little pea brain.
