Hi Everyone, Okay I have a cake comb but I am wanting to make some grooves for my round cake. Do i need to pile a ton of icincg on there and then start scraping or how does that work? I also have one of those Wilton sets that has all the different kinds of designs you can make on the round cake. Last time I tried using a cake comb it took all of the icing off....lol....does this need to crust first? Thanks In Advance for any help!!!!

I'd do it before the icing has set (crusted).
