I live in NJ and had a request for a vanilla cake with chocolate pudding sand castle cake for 80 people. When I told her $280 ($3 per serving), she said she would call back in a few days. It has been at least a week. Everything I make from scratch, cake and pudding. Is that too much and I was going to deliver at least 35 miles away due to the cost of the cake (over $200).

No I don't think it was too much at all. She probably wanted it at a Wally World price!

I am interested in having a sand castle cake made for my daughter's sweet 16 which is in about 4 or 5 weeks. I live in northern NJ. Any suggestions as far as bakers?

Currently I am making my second sand castle cake....I need to find a better way to support the towers-as they are attached to the outside of the cakes with nothing keeping them up straight and they are top heavy ...if anyone here had any suggestions.... supporting of this cake seems difficult

I think that's a great price.
