How Do You Make A Shoe & Shoe Box?

I have a client requesting a shoe box cake with with a dress shoe for a birthday. I have never done a cake like this before and I have a good idea on what to do, but I would like to have a little more insight on how these cakes are done. If anyone has any information on how to do these cakes it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!!! icon_biggrin.gif

I have seen the shoebox made with a 9x13 slab cut on half and stacked.Then cover with fondant adding an extra strip around the top edge of the box to look like the box edge.The shoe tutorial is great!!

That is the same tutorial I use to make the shoes. But if you want to make a bigger shoe, here is another tutorial,
