It it just me or has anyone else noticed that the Viva paper towels so many of us use to smooth our cakes with leave tiny peices of lint in the buttercream? I love this method of smoothing my cake but find myself picking little peicies of lint out of my cake and hoping that no one else will notice the one's I miss. Just wondering.

Does it always happen for you or just this time? I never seem to get lint.

I have noticed little bits of cardboard shavings on the Viva paper towels.

I started using this method about 3 cakes ago and the lint has been on all of them and some of it is actually kinda dark. I know it's not because my paper towels have accumulated dust from sitting around because I opened a new roll tonight and used it on a cake and sure enough, it left lint.
