Ok, I'm sorry if this has been answered before. I couldn't find it anywhere. I did my first square fondant cake yesterday and I couldn't get the corners smooth no matter what I tried! Can I get some pointers please?? Help! Thanks! icon_cry.gif

w/ square cakes you gotta smooth the corners first. Your immediate reaction is to smooth the side panels because they seem to go down so easily but you have to do the corners first!

Yes, you must do a corner first and then the side(s) between that corner. Do another corner, and then the sides between the two corners already done. Sharon Zambito (aka Sugarshack) has an excellent DVD about the application of fondant that is so helpful. If you can swing it, it's really worth buying.
