I'm getting ready to cover a cake with fondant for the first time with MMF and I'm scared to death that I'm going to mess it up!

Don't worry, it will be fine!

And if you do mess it up, you can always pull the MMF off and try again icon_biggrin.gif

I felt the same way with my first and I did mess it up! Even though I had prepared, read alot and watched videos, I still didn't know how to smooth out the excess fondant once it was in front of me...I ended up cutting it, so there was a small seam at the back of the cake.

I also doweled wrong so it tilted in the car and leaned the whole evening. I never bothered to post it, and plan to re-do it one day.

Thankfully, it does get easier and you learn to do things better with practice.

Don't be nervous. Just jump in and have fun with it. Besides if you mess up you just learned what NOT to the next time!!
