I've been asked to bake a butternut cake but I can't find any butternut flavoring in any of the grocery stores, cake stores or even "feed & seed" store that has 11 flavorings. I found that Lor-Ann has a butternut oil that I could order online but I've never used that in cake batter. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. The wedding is in Nov.

McCormick makes a vanilla, butternut extract and you can also order it through KingArthurflour.com. It is my favorite extract flavoring for all my baking.
Is that what you are looking for? Hope that helps
