i just made a boatload of gumpaste flowers, let them thoroughly dry (or at least i thought they were completely dry), and then dusted them with petal dust. most were fine, but on some of them i would get these spots or blotches that were about about the size of a lollipop stick diameter.

it was like the gumpaste was "grabbing" the dust...and what i got was a dark splotch of dust on an otherwise nicely dusted petal.

what am i doing wrong?

Most likely you got them wet or touched them w/shortening where the spots are. Once it is on the gp it will never take color icon_sad.gif
