Hi all

I am going to bake a 3 tiered cake for my friend's birthday weekend bash at a very cool modern beach house. She is turning 40 and so was born in the era of man on the moon, david bowie's space oddity etc which will beasically be the theme of the party.

I want to do a really stunning looking cake, not too kitschy or novelty or kid-y, but still 'space-inspired'.

Ideas would be greatly appreciated!
