Hi, I live in New Zealand and my Mum gave me an airbrushing kit, 'Paasche Airbrush Co, Chicago, Type H' she used it many years ago for colouring china dolls and wondered if I could use it on my cakes. My excitement level has shot through the roof at the anticipation, so I thought I would ask you members first what you think- given so many of hail from the same land as my new toy. Have any of you got one of these? the original instructions say for use by ... bakers, hobbyists etc. icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

Great gift but I would be leary to use a airbrush/gun that was used with non edible colors. You may have to get a new gun.Chances are she was usung paint for her dolls that is not food safe therefore the head and tip would be contaminated.Getting another gun will allow you to use it for cakes.
