So today a wonderful, blessed person GAVE me her last batch of Sweetex. Like 3 pounds of it! We don't have a source for hi-ratio shortening anywhere near or around our town. Having never tried Sweetex in anything, I am trying to modify my favorite buttercream recipe to use this instead of Crisco.
Does anyone know what adjustments I would need to make to this recipe to make it work with Sweetex? I really want to use butter along with the Sweetex. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I have a wedding cake to do this weekend. Thank you!!
CakemanOH recommends 2/3 cup hi-ratio:1 cup Crisco, or 1 cup hi-ratio for every 7 cups of powdered sugar.
