Hi all, just wondering if you could help me out a bit? I am planning a red velvet cake and was wondering if, flavor-wise, it would go well with a strawberry filling and chocolate ganache.

It is a carved skull and the client wants redvelvet cake to make it a little gory looking when cut and I was thinking the strawberry would look great but not sure of the flavor. I have never made red velvet cake, but it's a chocolate type cake so choc ganache and strawberry sounds good, just not sure!

Thanks!!

I made RV cupcakes a while ago - and topped them with a Choclate Ganache Swirl -

People were impressed - thumbs_up.gif

I did a bleeding armadillo with red velvet and raspberry filling, I think pretty much anything goes with it.

I think you can totally use ganache. Red velvet is basically a light chocolate cake with red coloring. Have a blast with it!

Thanks so much!! I was worried the strawberry wouldn't go but if you used raspberry, I'm not worried any more!!
