This is my first time doing this kind of thing and I am not sure how thick they should be. And could someone tell me what toba's icing is? I am trying to make cookies for my grandchilds class. Thanks for help. Johnnie
I usually roll out my cookies about 3/8 thick.Hubby made me flat sticks and roll ontop of those with my rolling pin to give me even thickness.Toba's icing is more of a glaze but is very popular.The recipe is listed here in the recipe section.I myself like Antonia74 royal icing recipe..It is fantastic and doesn't dry rock hard so you break your teeth.It is alos listed under royla icing.
I roll mine 1/2 inch if they're on a stick and 1/4 inch if not.
I roll 1/4 inch and I too use the sticks for perfect even thickness.
