If you're wanting to use chocolate clay, there are lots of recipes out there but I think they are all pretty much the same. If you use candy melts, I believe the packages are 10 oz. I picked up some black Halloween packages the other day and I noticed that they are now 12 oz and I think the price has gone up. I haven't done chocolate clay with real chocolate, but the recipes I have seen have the same proportions.

Anyway, the recipe that I've used is 10 oz of candy melts to 1/3 c corn syrup. Melt the chocolate - I do mine in the microwave. Add corn syrup to the chocolate and mix well (scrape all the corn syrup into the chocolate with a rubber spatula). Pour mixture onto waxed paper; let it sit and stiffen, uncovered, for about 2 hours. Use at once or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 month.
