Can I Freeze Mmf Accent To Firm It Up For Ease Of Handling?

I have cut out a couple of accent pieces (MMF) that are long and narrow with pointed tips (tattoo like design) and they are still very soft..too soft to handle. Cake is due in 3 hours and they're not going to dry in time. Can I put them in the freezer to firm them up so I can handle them easier to place on the cake? Base icing (bc) is white, MMF is dark green. Could condensation cause the green to bleed into the white icing?

Thanks...feeling kind of desperate right now.
