I am making cupcakes, which I will cover with a disk of fondant. I would like the fondant to be covered in sanding sugar. What can I use to make the sanding sugar stick to the fondant? Water? Piping Gel? Egg white?

I use piping gel - just brush it on very thin (even watered down a bit), sugar the disks and then attach.
